Preliminary informing
“Interа” created the Department of Remote IT technologies within the Department of customs clearance for rendering of the Preliminary Informing (PI) and Рreliminary declaring (PTD) services.
Customs Code provides the procedure for declaring goods by filing a preliminary declaration to the customs authority until their actual arrival in Customs Union territory or until the completion of the customs transit procedure.
This procedure was approved by the Order of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation dated 23.12.2008 № 1657. In both cases of the filing of preliminary declaration to the customs authority, such goods should be presented to the customs authority to accept the declaration within 30-days. In case of non-compliance with this time limit, the customs declaration will be considered as not filed to the customs authority and the company importer loses the pre-paid customs payments.
